Anne Barry | Director, Marketing and Communications

 
 

Anne Barry is the Director, Marketing and Communications for IVODGA. Anne works with the Administrators to develop and implement member retention and recruitment campaigns, meeting promotions and coordination, and assists with member initiatives. In this role, she is also responsible for the following:

  • Promotional Marketing | Create and execute yearly marketing plans and promotional campaigns for meetings and membership activities. She designs promotional content and ensures appropriate distribution.
  • Membership Support & Communication | Maintains membership database, processes new members and updates to current members. She works directly with the Regulatory Specialist team to oversee the development and distribution of notices to members.
  • Meeting Planning | Assist with annual and membership meeting planning, including meeting webpage creation, online registration systems, meeting handouts, and promotional activities (brochures, flyers, emails, meeting apps, social media presence, and advertising).
  • Electronic Newsletter | Design, research articles, layout, and distribute newsletters to trade association members.
  • Project/Training Management | Oversee instructor-led training, prepare proposals and schedules for onsite and web-based training courses.
  • Website Maintenance & Analytics | Update and maintain trade association website, including public pages, password protected member pages, online shop, and navigational tools. Analyze website performance and provide solutions and implement changes to ensure optimal web content and functionality.
  • Administrative Responsibilities | Participate in strategic planning and oversee administrative staff functions such as: meeting registrations, database maintenance, and general office duties.  

Anne received her Master of Business Administration degree and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont.

On a personal level, Anne enjoys winter hiking; she completed the Lake George Winter 12ster Hiking Challenge and is working toward becoming an Adirondack 46er and completing the Fire Tower Hiking Challenge. She also enjoys travelling with her family and exploring national parks, some of her favorite travels so far are Iceland, Hawaii Volcano National Park, and the Rocky Mountains.
